Helen Penney
Helen is the head of the litigation department and works to ensure cases are dealt with efficiently and cost effectively for the benefit of clients. She is responsible for the smooth running of cases and the supervision of other members of the team. Helen has a special interest in cases involving injuries caused by animals.
Before KhanMather, Helen worked for a small number of firms acting on behalf of insurer clients where she developed extensive knowledge and the skills necessary to get the results wanted by clients.
Helen was heavily involved in previous years’ credit hire litigation and having spent 20 years dealing with claims from the Defendant side, she is well placed to understand and deal with cases from the other side of the fence.
Helen is a dog lover, owning two Golden Retrievers of her own. She actively fundraises and does home check visits for Irish Retriever Rescue, a cause close to her heart. She also sponsors a Guide Dog and Dogs Trust Dog and regularly donates to the Blue Cross and WWF.
As an avid Formula 1 fan most of her weekends are spent watching the races, during the season. When time and the weather permits Helen enjoys spending time walking in the nearby countryside and the Lake District. Helen also has an allotment, which she enjoys growing vegetables and fruit on.
